SAFETY POLICY:
R.F. Contracting is committed to adapting to new technologies and legislation to continuously improve the health and safety of our workers and to minimize environmental impact.
SAFETY CO-ORDINATOR:
Our Safety Coordinator is certified as a Construction Health & Safety Officer (CHSO) and manages our Safety Program for both In-house employees and subtrades.
Briefing of duties:
- RF Contracting Orientation c/w roles and responsibilities of both parties
- Mandatory employee training, including but not limited to WHMIS, Standard First Aid, and Fall Arrest, is conducted
- Conducts toolbox meetings and site safety inspection c/w report
- Communicates with the Safety Representative and Management weekly
- Conducts investigations
- Annual employee refresher of RF Contracting safety policies, standards, and responsibilities
- Yearly review with Management to update the Health & Safety Manual
- Safety audits and direct liaison with the Ministry of Labour
- Development, implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety Standards for the company

R.F. Contracting is an active member of the Industrial Health & Safety Association, as well as a past member of the Northern Ontario 1-5 Year Safety Group Program under the WSIB umbrella. We are compliant with all applicable legislation, including, but not limited to, the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and all regulations thereunder, as amended from time to time.
