SAFETY POLICY
R.F. Contracting is commited to adapting to new technologies and legislation to continously improve the health and safety of our workers and to minimize environmental impact.
MEMBERSHIP
R.F. Contracting is a active member of the Industrial Health & Safety Association, as well as a past member of the Northern Ontario 1-5 Year Safety Group Program under the WSIB umbrella. We are compliant with all legislation including but not limited to Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and all regulations thereto, as amended from time to time.
SAFETY CO-ORDINATOR
Our Safety Coordinator is certified as a Construction Health & Safety Officer (CHSO) who manages our Safety Program both with In-house employees and Sub trades.
Briefing of duties:
- RF Contracting Orientation c/w roles and responsibilities of both parties
- Mandatory employee training including but not limited to WHMIS, Standard First Aid, Fall Arrest are conducted
- Conducts toolbox meetings and site safety inspection c/w report
- Communicates with Safety Representative and Management weekly
- Conducts investigations
- Annual employee refresher of RF Contracting safety policies, standards, responsibilities
- Yearly review with Management to update the Health & Safety Manual
- Safety audits and direct liason with Ministry of Labour
- Development, implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety Standards for company
